SMETS – WATER JETTING SERVICES
Highly frequented airports have the problem that they only have very short cleaning time windows for cleaning and therefore need larger machines with higher capacities to remove the rubber on the runways quickly, efficiently and thoroughly.
SMETS will provide gentle care even for partly damaged runways and roads. It is possible since our jetting nozzles rotate much faster and the UHWP technology can operate with about 20 % lower pressure than our competitors. This means very obviously that SMETS machines have lower consumption of water and lower impact on your asphalt or concrete surface. You pay therefore less and achieve better service. It is simply physics, not marketing.
The result of service is perfect and it is no coincidence – simple control for machine operator, low risk for surface and the highest performance for civil or military customer. It is simple as it is.

SMETS ARC 3000 SZ® is at the moment the greatest airport cleaning vehicle in the world with 3000 mm of active „water jetting track”, equipped with huge 420 kW UHWP pump and 39 m³ water tank.
The ARC 3000®, with the largest tank capacity of any system available in the world, was originally designed and built for a huge airport in the UAE. One of the requirements was that the system should be able to work continuously for 3,5 hours (210 minutes) at a time.
With this system the powerful ultra high pressure pump is driven by a 500 kW auxiliary motor. All other sources are taken from a heavy PTO of the truck (tractor).

- Type of surface (concrete, asphalt, tarmac…)
- Area in square meters to be cleaned / type of contaminant (rubber, paint, plastics, retexturing)
- Actual friction coefficient in sectors for cleaning / friction coefficient to be achieved after cleaning
- Special information and requirements (warranty, damaged sectors etc.)
- Mobilization (location of source of water, dirt disposal and resulting costs)
SMETS will clean your airport or road surface using ARC jetting vehicles or OSC cleaning vehicles and can also measure friction coefficient of cleaned pavement using technology of CSR Friction Tester.

SMETS will handle derubberizing even up to 2 centimeters of carbonized rubber spots from runways but also road projects with removal of extremely hard cold plastics.
